We are seeking an Assistant Coach for the Cross Country / Track and Field programs
JOB SUMMARY Assist the Head Coach with recruiting, scouting and practice planning.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES - Assist with practice and competition day management and activities for all student-athletes
- Help with the planning and organization of camps and clinics as assigned.
OTHER DUTIES AND ASSIGNMENTS - Know and comply with all NCAA rules and regulations, and pass the NCAA Coaches Certification Exam annually.
- Must be CPR and First Aid certified.
- Provide positive leadership for student-athletes.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
JOB REQUIREMENTS Education: Bachelor's degree, master's degree preferred.
Experience: 1 to 3 years of Cross Country and/ or Track and Field experience.
Licenses or Certifications: CPR and First Aid certified
Financial Responsibility: None
Supervision: None
Special Knowledge: Know and comply with all NCAA rules and regulations, and pass the NCAA Coaches Certification Exam annually.
SPECIAL WORKING CONDITIONS - Ability to travel; heavy lifting required (50 pounds and over); may be required to work when the university is closed.
- Ability to work in less than ideal weather conditions
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and some holidays
Please note that this role is based in Arlington, VA. Position will be open until filled.
COMPENSATION / TOTAL REWARDS This is a stipend position that will be paid bi-weekly. The total amount of the stipend is will be between $500- $4,000.
